DIY Earth Day Seed Bombs

We love using hands-on activities to learn about everything around us, including special days of the year! This year, as you learn about and celebrate Earth Day, try this seed bomb activity.

DIY Earth Day Seed Bombs

Materials

  • Blue Construction Paper

  • Green Construction Paper

  • 2 Bowls

  • Water

  • Food Processor

  • Flower Seeds

  • Parchment Papers

How To

  1. Cut 1 inch squares out of the construction paper.

  2. Seperate the colors and place them in their own bowls.

  3. Cover with water and soak for 20 minutes.

  4. Ring out the paper and place the colors into the food processor. Don't mix the colors yet! Blend until you have small, shredded pieces. (Adult Supervision Required)

  5. Put the shredded paper into a bowl again and mix the seeds in!

  6. Now that your paper is ready, pick up a little of each colored paper and use your hands to form them into a ball!

  7. Place your Earth Seed Bombs onto a sheet of parchment paper to dry overnight.

  8. Once dry, head outside and toss them into your yard! Over time, your seeds will grow into flowers!
